William Bennett and DJ BENETTI

William Bennett formed Whitehouse alone in 1980. In 1982, Philip Best, then aged fourteen, ran away from home to join him.

This
is Whitehouse performing together in 1984.

Whitehouse later became known for rubbing their nipples and barking like rabid dogs over digital white noise. They are unanimously revered by noise and industrial kids who wear throbbing gristle t-shirts and have greasy, dandruff-flecked hair.

At some point, William Bennett became DJ BENETTI.

DJ BENETTI played at Visions Video bar in Dalston last night. I didn’t go, couldn’t face the journey.

As much for my own pleasure as for that of the readers’, here is a recent mix by DJ BENETTI.

Ron Hardy

Ron Hardy played Disco, Electro and House during the '80s in Chicago.
He Hardy played records backwards and Stevie Wonder at +8.
Ron Hardy died in 1991.

The Ragtyme track manages to create a track that is both minimal and overblown.
The First Choice mix displays Hardy's reportedly 'wild' and 'raw' style of Mixing.
